What We Do

We bring water safety to your community.

Current of Hope doesn't wait for families to find us — we go to them. Our traveling Water Safety Fairs bring certified instructors, trusted community partners, and life-saving education directly to public and community pools across South Florida. And through our growing national partner network, we connect special needs families everywhere to the right swim lesson providers — and help cover the cost.

At Every Fair

Home Pool Safety Education

Drowning doesn't only happen at public pools. Every family with a home pool receives a dedicated safety lesson at our fairs — covering barriers, alarms, supervision strategies, and what to do in an emergency. Our pool fence and pool service partners are on-site to answer questions and provide resources.

  • Pool fence and barrier requirements and best practices
  • Pool alarm systems and door/gate locks
  • Supervision rules and the "water watcher" role
  • CPR basics and emergency response
  • Connecting families with local fence and service providers

National Initiative

Special Needs Partner Network

Finding a swim instructor who truly understands your child's needs shouldn't be a guessing game. We're building a national database of vetted swim lesson providers — every partner must have a demonstrated special needs focus. Parents can search by location and find a trusted instructor near them.

For families who can't afford lessons, Current of Hope provides subsidized instruction through our partner network — because cost should never be the reason a child doesn't learn to be safe in the water.

  • Vetted providers with verified special needs experience
  • Searchable by location — currently Florida, expanding nationally
  • Subsidized lessons available for qualifying families
  • Partners include adaptive aquatics specialists, therapy pools, and certified instructors
  • Families apply directly through Current of Hope
